Base station SERN-322-9953 USB recovery
Original USB configuration recovery reference for an existing base station. Confirm the hardware and recovery procedure with support.
Existing USB base station SERN-322-9953 only. Manual D1344, February 2021.
Identify the hardware
This reference concerns the USB base station with hardware number SERN-322-9953. Select Base Station in the Sensor Dashboard’s Connected Devices pane and check the hardware field before choosing a template. The original FT_PROG procedure restores the USB bridge configuration. It is distinct from a reboot or reconnect and is not an Edge Gateway M4 factory reset. Use it with support guidance after ordinary connection checks.
Prepare the original tools
The source requires a Windows computer with a working USB-A port, a USB-A to USB micro-B cable, FT_PROG and the template for this hardware. Download and retain the matching original files before starting.
Apply the matching template
Follow manual D1344: install FT_PROG and its required drivers, save the template XML, then connect the base station to the computer by USB. Open FT_PROG, scan for the device with the magnifying-glass control, right-click the intended device and choose Apply template, then From File. Select the saved XML and check that the template was applied successfully.
Program and verify
In the documented FT_PROG version, choose the lightning-bolt programming control and then Program. Disconnect the base station from the computer and reconnect it by USB to a powered iQunet server. The original manual uses a blue Base Station icon in the Sensor Dashboard as the functional check. Power the server according to its own model instructions; the base station procedure does not specify a gateway supply voltage.
