iQunet offers integrated LoRaWAN sensors for both power consumption and power quality monitoring. The 3-phase sensor comes in three versions for monitoring 400V systems with nominal currents up to 100A, 250A, and 600A. This LoRaWAN-enabled sensor measures aggregate data, such as average grid voltage, RMS and peak current, cosine φ, true power factor (TPF), and total harmonic distortion (THD) on all three phases at 10-minute intervals. The iQunet system provides on-premise communication to enterprise tools over OPC UA or MQTT, eliminating the need for costly cloud subscriptions.
The sensors are directly connected to the iQunet Industrial Edge Server without any use of Cloud. A private LoRaWAN network is instantly formed and is ready to use, without any setup or programming needs. Data is accessible via a local embedded OPC-UA server and stored for use with various protocols like OPC-UA, MQTT, and GraphQL. Additionally, integration with data lakes, SCADA systems, and other applications is possible, ensuring flexibility for diverse monitoring and data analysis needs.
iQunet Power monitoring used for ESG reporting can be combined with monitoring of the Electrical Signatures, which then provides a complete analysis opportunity. More information is provided in this Power Quality Monitoring tutorial.
The monitoring system provides insight in both the cumulative energy consumption and also the possible infrastructure improvements learned from the captured sensor data.
