Applications Privacy Policy

Our Applications Privacy Policy was last updated on May 8th, 2023.

This privacy policy is applicable to all iQunet software applications. The applications are created and managed by iQunet bvba, Broekstraat 82, B-9220 Hamme, Belgium. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, processing, use, and disclosure of personal data we collect from you or that is provided to us as a result of you using our software applications.

We understand the importance of the privacy of our customers and the protection of their personal data. By using our applications, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, you should not use our software applications.

 

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

 

Definitions

For the purposes of this privacy policy:

  • “Account”: means a unique account created by you to access the iQunet software applications.
  • “Applications” refers to all iQunet software applications, namely the online WebRTC connection application (available on connect.iqunet.com) to connect to the iQunet Servers and export data to for example Google Sheets, and the iQunet Google Looker Studio connector, used by you on any electronic device.
  • “iQunet” (referred to as either “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this privacy policy) refers to iQunet bvba, Broekstraat 82, B-9220 Hamme, Belgium.
  • “Device” means any device that can access the iQunet software applications such as a computer, a cellphone, or a digital tablet.
  • “Personal Data” is any information about a living individual who can be identified from those data.
  • “Service” refers to the operation of the Applications by iQunet to provide customer support.
  • “Service Provider” means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of iQunet. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by iQunet to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of iQunet, to perform services related to the Service or to assist iQunet in analyzing how the Service is used. We may use the services of various Service Providers to process your data more effectively.
  • “User” means the individual accessing or using the Applications, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Applications, as applicable.

 

What personal data is collected?

While using Our Applications We request you to provide Us with personally identifiable information that can be used to identify you, to create a User Account and prove that you are not a web robot. The personally identifiable information includes but is not limited to:

  • your basic account information:
    • Your name,
    • Your email address,
    • Your profile picture,
  • access to your Google Sheets Documents:
    • Permission to see, edit, create and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets,
  • access to your Google Looker Studio reports:
    • Permission to connect to an external service.

While using Our Applications on your Device, We may also collect information from cookies, web beacons or from the internet. This information will be gathered automatically and will be simply stored on your Device. The information will not be used to identify you.

 

How is your Personal Data collected?

We gather your Personal Data in several ways:

  • When you register with Us and create a User Account to use Our products and Applications on connect.iqunet.com,
  • When you export measurement data to Google Sheets by clicking on the Sheets button in the iQunet GUI Dashboard of your iQunet Server,
  • When you agree to use Our Google Looker Studio connector,
  • When you contact Us through the website, software applications, by telephone, email, or any other means.

 

How will your information be used?

We use the information collected about you in the following ways:

  • To provide and maintain Our Applications,
  • To gather information to improve Our Applications and Services,
  • To manage your Account: to manage your registration as a User of the Applications. The Personal Data you provide can give you access to different functionalities of the Applications that are available to you as a registered User. Your email address and password are used to identify you when you log into the Applications,
  • To provide you with customer support,
  • To attend and manage your requests to Us,
  • To investigate complaints about the Applications,
  • To detect, prevent and address technical issues,
  • To analyze and monitor the use of Accounts to prevent, investigate fraud, terrorism, misrepresentation, security incidents or crime and/or report this to the competent authorities,
  • To contact you by email regarding updates performed on your iQunet Servers or regarding the functionality of your iQunet Servers.

 

How will your information be shared?

Except as set out in this privacy policy, We do not sell, rent, share, trade or give away any of your Personal Data to any third party unless we have your permission or we believe the law permits or requires it.

We may share your Personal Data in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share your Personal Data with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Applications.
  • For business transfers: We may share or transfer your Personal Data in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of Our business to another company.
  • With affiliates and/or companies in Our group: We may share your information with Our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this privacy policy.
  • With business partners: We may share your information with Our business partners to offer You certain products, services, or promotions.
  • With other users: when you connect to an iQunet Server using our Applications, all other registered Users that are allowed access to this particular Server will be able to see your email address.
  • With our professional advisors (e.g., lawyers): We may share your Personal Data to comply with a legal obligation; to protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of iQunet; to protect against legal liability; to protect the personal safety of Users of the Applications or the public; to prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; this includes exchanging information with third parties for the purposes of fraud protection insurance and credit risk reduction.
  • With your consent: We may disclose your Personal Data for any other purpose with your consent.

 

How long will your Personal Data be stored?

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

We will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. Your consent to this privacy policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

We are committed to trying to make sure that your personal information is secure. We have implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures to secure your Personal Data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, Personal Data transmitted, stored, or otherwise processed. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Applications are used. Analytics

We may use third-party service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

  • Google Analytics Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. Rights of Data Subjects

At any time, you can make a written request to have access to all the Personal Data that We hold about you and to obtain a copy of the information We hold. If your Personal Data have been changed, you are entitled to ask Us to rectify or complete or erase the outdated, incorrect, or incomplete data We have about you.

 

Unauthorized Use of the Applications

You commit yourself to (1) not use the information displayed in the Applications illegally (2) not to use the Applications to damage, transform, interrupt or stop the Applications or make the Applications any less efficient, (3) not to use the Applications for transmission or posting of computer viruses or for transmission or posting of material that is insulting, obscene or threatening (4) not to use the Applications in such a way that the rights of a natural person, a legal person or an association such as the right to privacy, data protection and the intellectual property rights are violated (5) not to use the Applications for posting and sending material for promotional or advertising purposes without requesting iQunet’s prior permission, and to the extent that the recipient has requested it.

 

iQunet’s Liability

The information you obtain via the Applications may contain all kinds of defects. iQunet does not guarantee the availability, timeliness or accuracy of the information and is not liable for any damage that might result from this information. The information is supplied and reproduced without any guarantee. We are neither responsible nor liable for possible viruses that may occur on the Applications despite the precautions taken. We reserve the right to change the information on the Applications at any time.

 

Links to Other Websites

Our Applications may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by Us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party’s site. We are not responsible for the content of these websites and are not responsible for the privacy standards and practices of that third-party. We recommend you to read and understand the relevant privacy policies of these third-parties and their websites before you accept their cookies and visit their website to ensure that your Personal Data is sufficiently protected.

 

Children’s Privacy

Our Applications do not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect or hold Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you become aware that your child has provided Us with Personal Data without your consent, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, We will take steps to delete it as soon as possible.

 

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may amend and update this privacy policy from time to time to ensure that the policy represents the way We process your Personal Data at that time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page. Changes to this privacy policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
